BNENC’s SORT’s Programme ( Specialised Out Reach Team ) works with young people on the streets in and around Anfield & Everton, The programme engages with young people an diverts them in to positive activities throughout the community.

The programme also identifies any anti social behaviour hotspots and works in a multi agency partnership in developing community initiatives to reduce youth related crime and anti social behaviour. SORT’s also delivers as part of BNENC’s Gun/Knife Crime Project works with local schools in delivering a strong message about violence and gang culture, last year BNENC provided educational awareness to over 1,200 local young people.

Winner of The Merseyside Criminal Justice Awards 09 For Helping to Reduce Youth Crime

Recently BNENC’s SORT’s Project won recognition and support from Merseyside Police Authority in its first ever Community Award Ceremony held at The Radison Hotel in Liverpool. The Police Authority made an Award to BNENC for its work in engaging hard to reach young people on the streets.
